Measuring tips

A US cup of butter weighs 227 g — exactly two sticks. One stick (½ cup) is 113.5 g, and one tablespoon is about 14 g. Salted and unsalted butter weigh the same.

US sticks have tablespoon marks on the wrapper — cut along them instead of packing a cup.
